A shout out to rural New Zealand

Apr 01, 2022

We are introducing a $5.00 Rural Delivery Fee on all orders to addresses NZ Post add an RD or Community Mailbox number.

This fee will apply even if you hit the 120 capsule free shipping level.

Here's why…

We’re a 100% Kiwi-owned business. Louise and I have always believed if you live here then we’ll get your coffee to you. Wherever you are in New Zealand. Your morning coffee is important to you regardless of whether your address is rural delivery or in town. We know from a lifetime of watching Country Calendar that really good stuff goes on up those dusty roads with an RD on every gate. Like all Kiwis, we tip our hats to your iconic hard-working lives that we are all proud to stake a claim in.

You’d have had to cut your post box off at the base not to have heard of the “cost of living crisis”. It’s well and truly whizzing around New Zealand Post and their courier network. We’ve all recorded our personal best spend at the gas station recently and NZ Post are obviously copping the fuel prices right on the chin.

Courier prices are going up and for rural delivery, we just can’t absorb that increase. We have no choice but to pass that on to you.

We are letting you know so that you can plan for your next order.

We’re recommending that you ask a friendly face in town if you we can send your coffee there for you to collect. An old mate, the town shop, the butchery, the pub – these are all places that you can get your coffee parcel from on your next trip to town.

If you give us a town address to send your coffee to then we don’t need to pass on the Rural Delivery fee.

Changing your delivery address on our website is easy. You can do that in your club members page or at check out. Here’s a how to page: https://www.coffeecapsules2u.co.nz/pages/how-to-address

Charging a Rural Delivery fee is a reality for us. With a bit of proactive Kiwi ingenuity, we are sure that we can find an easy as good as solution.

Thanks for your help and understanding in working with us to sort this out.

Patrick & Louise
